Curie PTA has three active fundraisers which fund our enhancement programs, Gift Wrap, Craft Fair and Jog-A-Thon.

Through these fundraisers we are able to provide Physical Education twice a week for all classes. We also provide music once a week taught by a professional instructor. In addition, we fund Assemblies, Reflections, Multi-Cultural Fair, Games Days, Junior Olympics, and the annual School Performance. GIFT WRAP 

This fundraiser is held at the beginning of the school year. Curie students sell gift wrap to their family and friends, and the school keeps 50% of the money earned from the sale. This is a very successful fundraiser that does not require a lot of volunteer hours. Gift wrap can be ordered throughout the year online at Innisbrook.com. Remember to use our school number, #103356, and the school can continue to earn funds. Curie earns roughly $14,000 through Gift Wrap sales.

CRAFT FAIR 

The Annual Curie Holiday Craft Fair is in its 28th year. It is always held the 1st Saturday of November. This fundraiser earns money from the sale of craft booths to individuals who sell their hand-made items. Curie has also added concession sales, an opportunity drawing and silent auction to increase the amount of funds raised. Our Craft Fair has been an integral part of the University City community and continues to be very popular. It takes a huge number of volunteer hours to insure the Craft Fair's success, and many volunteer opportunities are available for you. Craft Fair earns roughly $12,000 for our school.

WALK / JOG-A-THON 

Our spring fundraiser is a very popular one with the children. The Jog-A-Thon is usually held the 2nd Friday of March and is a very successful event. The children obtain pledges from family and friends to run laps. For added incentive, prizes are awarded for certain amounts pledged. Curie volunteers do our own collecting, thus saving the 40% that most services would charge. This event is popular with the teachers and parents as well because everyone can get involved and participate. The Walk / Jog-A-Thon earns roughly $17,000 for our school.

eScrip 

In addition to these three fundraisers, Curie PTA participates in the eScrip program. eScrip provide ongoing income by giving vendors the opportunity to donate money through goods and services. Individuals can purchase certificates to many different retail stores. The retailer, in turn, donates a designated percentage of money to the school. During the last school year eScrip earned approximately $7,000 for Curie but you need to register to make it work.
