Everyone is welcome. PTA meetings are a forum for parents & teachers to discuss how we can best serve the needs of the Curie community. The more voices we hear from, the better!

Every level of membership is completely tax deductible
Membership is a yearly donation ($12 minimum) that comes with voting rights at PTA meetings
Part of your donation directly funds essential resources that benefit your child & Curie Elementary
Membership does not require that you attend meetings and/or volunteer

Coffee with the Principal

Swing by after morning drop off on Thursday for a chat with Ms. Duren over coffee! This is a great chance to catch up on what's happening at Curie and meet some other parents. See you there!
Jog-A-Thon - This Friday!
The Jog-A-Thon is coming up this Friday & we are $35,000 away from our goal. Donations are due by October 28 so there is still time to reach our school goal of $70,000 so that we can "pie" the Principal! If you haven't seen the kick-off video yet, check it out below.
Volunteers: Thank you so much for volunteering; we look forward to seeing you! Check-in for the Jog-A-Thon will happen at the back gate. Our superstar, Candi Russell, will be checking in all volunteers & showing them where to go.
Spectators: If you weren't able to sign up to volunteer but would still like to attend the event, parents/guardians will be allowed to watch from the middle of the field. Please make sure to arrive 10 minutes prior to your child's run time. Once the run starts, we prefer that you do not cross the track.
Spectator Arrival Times
UTK: 7:50 AM
Kinder & 1st Grade: 8:50 AM
2nd & 3rd Grades: 10:10 AM
4th & 5th Grades: 11:20 AM
What to Bring: We are asking that spectators bring a BRAND NEW SQUIRT BOTTLE filled with water to help mist the students as they circle the track. If you are willing to donate your bottle to the school, please leave it on the designated table upon exiting the gate.

Mark Your Calendars for the Curie Family Lunch
Join your student(s) for lunch on Friday, Oct. 28 at Curie. Another family member is welcome to attend if a parent can't make it!
This is a fun time to connect with other families & see what your child gets up to on the playground. Bring your lunch (check out the fundraisers we have going on that coincide with Family Lunch this year!) & a blanket for picnic seating or eat at the tables in the lunch arbor.
Arrive by 11:30 AM for check-in; gates open at 12 PM. Discuss a meeting spot with your child ahead of time!
*Please check-in at the back gate for TK/K/1st/2nd grades & the front gate for 3rd/4th/5th grades. Wrist bands will be provided at check-in.*

5th Grade Promotion Committee Fundraiser at Family Lunch!
The 5th Grade Promotion Committee will be pre-selling tickets for pizza meals for Family Lunch. You can buy a meal ahead of time consisting of a slice of pizza, chips, & a drink for only $5. The 5th Grade Promotion Committee will be selling tickets after school next week, October 17-21. Stop by & purchase tickets for you & your family. Bring your tickets to Family Lunch on Friday, October 28 to the tables in front of the library to pick up your pizza lunch. All proceeds go toward 5th grade promotion & promotion activities. Thank you for your support!
Jersey Mike's Dine-Out for Family Lunch
We're partnering with Jersey Mike's this year to provide another great option for grabbing a meal to bring to Family Lunch! Show this flyer at the store on Friday, October 28, & 15% of the proceeds from your order will be donated to Curie. We suggest placing your orders online ahead of time to beat the rush and receive priority service. Just type 'Curie' into the comments section. Digital or paper copy of the flyer will be accepted.
The Curie Community Fair is scheduled for Saturday December 3! If you know a vendor interested in participating, please email Jennifer at curiecraftfair@curiepta.org to request a vendor registration form.
