Swap Your Candy for Cash (for Curie Family Science Nights)!

Happy Halloween, Colts! Bring your extra/leftover candy to the donation bin in the front office through Friday, November 4!

Candy will be sold to The Super Dentists for $1/pound (funds raised go to Family Science Nights & donated candy will be sent to active duty service members).

Candy must be dropped off in sealed bags (Ziplocs ok) due to ant issues.

Square 1 Art Fundraiser Coming Home Soon

Your child's custom catalog for the Square 1 Art fundraiser will be coming home soon but you can view your child's art & order keepsakes/gifts featuring your child's art online now! Simply search for your child's art using Art Search, & enter the state, school name, & student's last name. Your student's art & code will appear, & you may order.

Was your child absent for their Square 1 Art project? Upload additional art if you like, using Art Upload. If you have questions, or need anything at all, contact customer care online. Thank you for supporting Curie!

Picture Make-Up Day: November 4

Did your student miss Picture Day? Make up day is the morning of Friday, Nov. 4 in the auditorium. You may place your order online here or, alternately, you may pick up an envelope in the front office & make your payment & package selections using the provided form. Prints will be shipped to school in 4-6 weeks. Contact Mike at (760) 438-0464 or mikeshriver01@gmail.com with questions.

Student Council Campaign Update

Campaign posters will be displayed around campus Nov. 1 through Nov. 8 (Election Day!). On Election Day, candidates will give a speech in front of the 3-5 grade classes, & upper grade students will then vote by ballot in their classrooms. Candidates will learn the election results the following morning. Stay tuned to find out who will be on our 2022-2023 Student Council!

Thank You From the 5th Grade Promotion Committee

"Thank you to all the Curie families who purchased pizza lunches for family lunch. We appreciate your support, & we hope you enjoyed your lunch & time with your family!"

Jog-A-Thon: The Final Count!

Fundraising has come to a close for the Curie Colt Stampede & we are thrilled to announce that we surpassed our goal! Our Curie community has raised over $76,000 to put towards Curie programs, which means...students have earned a Pie the Principal assembly! Be on the lookout for photos of that in the near future, & THANK YOU to Principal Duren for being such a great sport! Check out the Classroom Leaderboard & Incentives page here to see what else may be in store for your student. If you participated in Corporate Matching or made a direct donation to the school via cash or check, please check your student's portal to ensure they received proper credit. Please contact waysandmeans@curiepta.org with any questions or concerns.

In addition to these funds paying for art, music, & PE teachers, the Curie PTA uses funds raised to host assemblies, purchase new playground equipment, provide teacher stipends for use in the classroom, host programs & events (like the Art & Music Festival, Red Ribbon Week, the Multicultural Fair), & much more! Check out our budget HERE for more info.

  • Follow along with us on Instagram to see all of the fun our Curie Colts had last week during Red Ribbon Week! You'll get to see some pretty amazing photos taken by our very own Mr. B!

  • Annual Student Council campaigns have begun as 4th & 5th graders from each classroom have been nominated to run for officer positions. Candidates will create a poster to display for their campaign, & will present a speech to the entire upper grade. Voting takes place in 3rd-5th grade classrooms on Election Day, which is November 8th. Good luck to all of our candidates!

  • The Curie Community Fair is scheduled for Saturday December 3! If you know a vendor interested in participating, please email Jennifer at curiecraftfair@curiepta.org to request a vendor registration form.

  • Past newsletters can now be found on our website!
